Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras presents An Afternoon of Winter Concerts at the Dolan Performing Arts Center at Ipswich High School in Ipswich, MA. The 2 pm concert features the NMYO Prelude and Overture String Ensembles and Intermezzo Orchestra. The 4:00 pm concert features NMYO’s advanced ensembles: the Select Flute Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra.
The Marblehead Festival of Arts invites families to their holiday arts-and-crafts show at Marblehead Arts Association the first weekend in December. The market place is held in conjunction with the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce Marblehead Christmas Walk, a town-wide event. Each year the market place has many local and regional artists who bring their arts and products to Abbot Hall.

The Marblehead Christmas Walk Parade takes place after Santa Arrives in Marblehead. The Parade begins at 11:45 and the route takes approximately one hour, traveling from Front St., State St., Washington St., Five Corners, Atlantic Ave. Gerry Street, down Pleasant St. and concluding at the National Grand Bank parking lot. Participants need to line up and be ready to roll at 11:30am.

The evening will begin by making your own lantern in our cozy, heated barn while sanctuary naturalists share the science of solstice. With lanterns in hand, we'll light up the night with a stroll through the forest and perhaps catch sights or sounds of animals active during the winter season.
