Maudslay is Haunted is a North Shore Kid favorite! Theater in the Open’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay invites you to join a cast of all ages for a one-hour walk through eerie vignettes, spooky sketches and haunting scenes, all in the autumn grandeur of Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. Bring the whole family for a variety of tricks and treats, this family event is intended for all ages.

Plum Island Airport RC Club's JetOberfest is almost here! Come on out and join us once again at the Plum Island Airport for 4 days of Nonstop RC Jet action (Turbine and Ducted Fan Jets, no props or rotors for this event please). Pilots from all over the Northeast and Canada will make their way to our little slice of heaven to WOW the crowds with some amazing machines.
The Newburyport Choclate Tour invites chocolate lovers to savor fine chocolate and goodies throughout downtown Newburyport and the Tannery. The Chocolate Tour motto, "Eat Chocolate. Be Happy. Do Good.", sums up this delicious tour as 100% of net proceeds are donated to local non-profit organizations. This year's proceeds go to: Prescription Refill Program for Elders, MSPCA at Nevins Farm Animal Shelter, Beacon Coalition (youth suicide prevention) and Theater in the Open.

Farmer's markets aren't just a place to get your favorite local seasonal foods, it s a community! The markets vary from town to town, and in addtion to the farm goods, you'll enjoy live music, craft and other vendors, and some even have activities to keep the kids busy while you shop!
Visit live animals in the riverside yard at Joppa Flats! You’ll rotate through our tented stations at your own pace, and may choose to spend your time handling tide pool creatures such as sea urchins and sea stars, meeting moon snails and hermit crabs from the sandy beach, and/or learning about minnows and horseshoe crabs from the salt marsh. Try your hand at birding with binoculars and a field scope with the help of our naturalists to guide you!
Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the 23rd Annual Outdoor Sculpture at Maudslay Exhibit September 10 through October 2 featuring 50 site specific sculptures by local artists addressing this year’s theme, ‘Intersect’ within the magnificence of Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. Look for the large green trail head signs featuring sculpture locations and instructions for downloading our simple phone app which will include the sculpture locations, photos, and artist statements.
