Rolling grasslands, grazing livestock, agricultural fields, stone walls, and historic farm buildings are part of this 1,000-acre pastoral landscape – a rare glimpse into New England’s agricultural past. A gift of Colonel Francis R. Appleton, Jr., and his wife Joan, Appleton Farms is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in the country, established and maintained by nine generations of the Appleton family.
Come to Marini Farm for a fun journey through our corn maze! This is not your typical corn maze; it is both educational and interactive. There are over 18 stations strategically placed throughout the maze with answers to a game sheet that you will be given before entering. We don't give you clues...you need to find your way out on your own! You will be able to track your progress through the maze by the amount of answers you find on your game sheet. A finished game sheet is a finished maze!
Pizza Picnics at Appleton Farms features pizza baked in our wood fire oven, made fresh by hand when you order! Non-alcoholic beverages and assorted sweet treats will also be available to purchase on site, as well as beer or wine from one of our local featured vendors (be sure to bring your wallet and ID!). Pick a spot anywhere on the grass for a picnic-style meal – picnic blankets are strongly encouraged!
