ECCF Scholarship Resource

Essex County Community Foundation has put together a great resource for North Shore students looking to apply for scholarships!

The Essex County Community Foundation (ECCF) manages charitable funds for both donors and nonprofits, awards grants, teaches best practices to nonprofits and their boards and convenes peer groups large and small to provide networking, higher education and economies of scale in Essex County Massachusetts. In their mission of community outreach, they have compiled an extensive list of available scholarships for student on the North Shore and Essex County.

Central Scare!

Celebrate Halloween in the center of Lynn with your family!

Come to Lynn for some spoooktacular fun in Central Square! Lynn Arts, Inc. will have their annual FREE Haunted House, with goody bags for those brave enough to enter! There will be art activities for the kids (while supplies last) hosted by EXTRAS for Creative Learning in Lynn Museum and Historical Society.

Great Woods Hike

Hike the trails of Lynn Woods with your family in Lynn Massachusetts

We will meet at the Great Woods parking lot entrance to Lynn Woods and hike a loop trail around watershed land on the north side of Walden Pond. Hike is about 3.5 miles and should take about 2 hours. Dogs (on leash) and Children welcome. Please be able to keep up a 2 mph pace (usually not a problem for children). This is a moderate difficulty hike with some steep sections. Rain date Saturday 10/30 at the same time and place.

Lynn Woods Trails & Sails Walk

Hike to the Stone Tower at Lynn Woodsas part of trails and sails!

Join the Friends of the Lynn Woods on this Trails & Sails 2021 walk through to Dungeon Rock to Stone Tower. Lynn Woods Reservation is the second largest municipal park in the greater Boston area. This 2,200 acre forest reserve consists of ponds, wetlands, streams, deciduous & evergreen forest and rocky ledge. The walk to the Tower is slightly uphill but not difficult. Then walk to Dungeon Rock site for a visit to the area where the legend of dungeon rock will be explained. Dress for weather and wear comfortable shoes.
