EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! Calling all LEGO fans - we're excited to welcome the LEGO Train back to the Wenham Museum for a special fall-time visit! Come see a rainbow colored, L-gauge model train speeding along a brick track as it races by soaring skyscrapers, country cottages, mountainside ski slopes and much more. All features are designed with the highest degree of precision (and a sense of humor!) by the New England LEGO Users Group (NELUG). Some Halloween-themed surprises will be included in this fantastical LEGO display!
Wenham Museum invites you to come in costume, as a monster, dragon or dinosaur and hear frightfully fun stories, create monster print art and play silly monster games. Explore Wenham Museum’s spring exhibits: 'Draw Me a Story: Paper Monsters' with Ed and Rebecca Emberley a display of lively monster art and 'Pop Goes the Book!' an exhibit of engaging pop-up books. All Ages.
Young visitors are invited to join CAM staff and special guests for story time in the gallery. Offered in conjunction with the special exhibitions The Little House: Her Story and Once Upon a Contest: Selections from Cape Ann Reads. Free and open to the public. Please remember, the Museum closes at 5:00 p.m.
Peabody Essex Museum invites kids and families for days of fun and engaging events and activities during February vacation week! Come to the Museum Come join us for a week of exploration into our relationship with nature and discover new ways to become a steward of the earth. There will be drop in art activities, collaborative art projects, multisensory tours, artist demonstrations and more! The museum hosts a weeklong celebration (10am - 4pm daily) of Black History Month and the exhibition 'Jacob Lawrence: The American Struggle' through family-friendly art making, music and storytelling. All programs are included with admission.
Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the 23rd Annual Outdoor Sculpture at Maudslay Exhibit September 10 through October 2 featuring 50 site specific sculptures by local artists addressing this year’s theme, ‘Intersect’ within the magnificence of Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. Look for the large green trail head signs featuring sculpture locations and instructions for downloading our simple phone app which will include the sculpture locations, photos, and artist statements.
Pingree School invites prospective students, parents, and guardians to come and learn
about Pingree’s academic and co-curricular programs. Attendees will meet students and teachers, attend sample classes, and hear from the associate head of school, faculty and students.
The Annual Middle Street Walk is a great way to experience Gloucester's Historic District while having fun with the family. For 2021 the walk will be more abbreviated than years past. The Festivities begin at 10am and go all the way through to the lighting of the lobster pot tree in downtown Gloucester! An updated schedule of this years walk will be available for download on December 1, 2021 at this link.
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire hosts the Make or Break it Club every Friday from 3:00-4:45 pm. Kids ages 6-12 are invited to drop in to try their hand at a variety of hands-on "making" experiences, using real tools and materials. No reservations are required and different experiences are offered each week. The cost is $8 per session for museum members and $10 for non-members. Multi-session punch cards are also available for kids who want to come each week.
Wenham Museum celebrates community creativitiy with their new LEGO art exhibit! A display of over 60 unique sculptures by amateur and semi-professional LEGO artists showcases the creative talents of the community using a unique artistic medium. Carefully-configured towers, creatures and imaginary places built by children and adults will move and amaze you! Think out-of-the-box and build your own miniature masterpieces at our creative stations in this colorful exhibit.
Join PEM as they celebrate the Lunar New Year! The Chinese Lunar New Year is a 15-day celebration marking the start of the new year. Enjoy this annual celebration as we mark the Year of the Pig. PEM will host a day of family fun including traditional lion dances, ribbon dances, traditional crafts and more! Join the festive mood in the Atrium — create your own Chinese Folk Art, hear traditional stories, experience traditional dance and performances, and take a family tour!
