Dance is a New England folk tradition, and Ipswich Recreation invites you to the fun! Join old and new friends in folk dances, including squares, contras, and circle dances. Egrets-Only, a band and caller of local Ipswich parents, will provide the fiddle tunes and instruction. All are welcome and the dance is gender neutral. Circle, Line, & Square Dances. No partner or previous skill is required. Dancers are encouraged to bring a water bottle to fill as needed and an open heart.

Everyone loves owls! Yet, how many of us have ever seen a live owl up close? With Eyes On Owls, Naturalist Marcia Wilson and photographer Mark Wilson will introduce you to six different live owls from New England and far beyond. Some owls, like the Great Horned, Barred and Eastern Screech Owls are fairly common in our area. Others, like Snowy Owls, Great Grays, and Boreal Owls, are rather rare.
No hats, gloves, or jackets required. Glide around our indoor artificial ice rink as you skate to festive music, surrounded by sparkling snowflakes, mirror balls, and breathtaking views of the ocean. Fun for the entire family! Children's and adult skate sizes available for rental ($5). Kids 18 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
This Halloween, Greater Beverly YMCA, Be Healthy Beverly, a youth substance use coalition, and the Regional Youth Prevention Network, is excited to present $1 Fright Night at The Cabot! Middle and High School students from across the North Shore are welcome to stop by between 4:30 and 6pm for some Halloween tricks and treats, before settling in with complimentary popcorn and soda to watch Gremlins on the big screen from 6-8pm.
Come to the Amesbury Carriage Museum for a special daytime screening of “Night at the Museum!” Kids are welcome to bring sleeping bags and pillows. Popcorn and water is included with your ticket purchase. Baked goods and juice will be available for sale.
The Cabot Theater is running a great special for kids this Summer! Tickets for The Cabot $1 Wednesdays Kids At The Cabot series are only available at the box office the night of the screening. Pack up the gang and come down to the Cabot for a fun evening with the kids.
