WE = NBPT hosts their 3rd annual Winter Festival inside the heated tent at the The Tannery Marketplace in downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts! As always, this event will be showcasing all things that are created by the good people of Newburyport, MA! From the musical performers, to the visual artists, to the beer, to the food, to the raffle prizes, and to everything else involved, Newburyport is home.
A fun-filled day for the whole family about everything from our ocean giants (whales, sharks, sea turtles) to deep sea creatures (octopuses, jellies)! For age 2-6, there are take-home crafts, an under the sea play zone, stuffies, coloring books and simple table-top science. For ages 7 and older, there are displays and interactives about overfishing, microplastics, sea level rise and climate change. Indoors and out. Rain or shine.
Cape ann Art Haven has a great selection of art focused morning workshops during February Vacation in addition to their regular classes and open studio in the afternoons. Kids can take part in morning sessions, afternoon sessions or stay for a full day!

The annual Middle Street Walk 2025 wraps up every year with the lighting of the lobster trap Christmas tree in Gloucester Massachusetts! Stop by Cape Ann Art Haven for a Holiday Party with hot chocolate, sweet treats, kids' crafts, holiday photos, face painting live music. Caroling starts at 4:30pm, followed by the tree lighting across the street at 5pm. Come find your buoy hanging on the tree, enjoy caroling, seeing the star put on the tree join us for the countdown and celebrate the season with the lighting of our Lobster Trap Tree!
The Museum of Printing’s Annual Printing Arts Fair is a fun day for kids and families! Families will have a great time with printing, typing, a treasure hunt, demonstrations, shopping, tours, and a raffle!
The Trustees and New England Sculptors Association are partnering to present a 6-month outdoor sculpture exhibition at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate located at 290 Argilla Road in Ipswich. The “Spirit of Place" exhibition includes 32 pieces created by New England's finest sculptors and placed in gardens, along woodland paths and alongside historic landscape features. This curated show opens May 18 and closes on November 11, 2019.
Bring your toddler to Cape Ann Museum on the second Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for Young at Art, a gallery-based storytime! Recommended for children ages 4 and younger with an adult. This drop-in program is free for members or with Museum admission. The summer solstice, or longest day of the year, is also known as the most active day of the year for fairies. On this enchanted fairy holiday, it is traditional in some cultures to leave gifts or offerings for the fairies. Join us as we venture into the forest to create fairy houses. We will celebrate their completion with a solstice story and s'mores.
