On Second Saturdays, music students of Alexandra Grace Music Studio will join the Cape Ann Museum for the ‘Cape Ann Youth Musical Showcase’. Every month will have a different theme, and students will perform songs in a fun and creative evening of live music.

Everyone loves owls! Yet, how many of us have ever seen a live owl up close? With Eyes On Owls, Naturalist Marcia Wilson and photographer Mark Wilson will introduce you to six different live owls from New England and far beyond. Some owls, like the Great Horned, Barred and Eastern Screech Owls are fairly common in our area. Others, like Snowy Owls, Great Grays, and Boreal Owls, are rather rare.
Whether you're a painting beginner or a pro, join us to appreciate just how beautiful winter can be by painting winter scenes with watercolors. Local artist and Refuge volunteer Patricia Lane Evans will teach participants techniques on how to paint snowy landscapes and how to frame a scene. We'll also have time to make creative watercolor Valentines Day themed cards! All ages welcome, and materials will be provided.
Enjoy a lantern-guided night hike full of reflection and positive energy with The Trustees at Ward Reservation. As we reach the top of Holt Hill and the trees part to reveal a sky full of stars, participants will be greeted by glowing fire pits, s’mores and a fire spinning performance by Phoebe Flows.
The Community House presents The Family and Friends Sweetheart Ball! Children ages 3 to 12 are invited to dance the night away with their favorite grown-up. Formerly the Father Daughter Dance and the Mother Son Knight Out, The Sweetheart Ball combines the two to make one, inclusive and festive event. Join Hamilton-Wenham Recreation to enjoy the “Wolf" Full Moon with guided walks, treats, fire-pits and a craft for kids! Hike one or both routes, or just come out to enjoy a warm drink by the fire in the light of the full moon. Fire-pits, warm drinks, light snacks and a “wolf moon” inspired craft are included in the registration fee.
Wenham Museum hosts a fun presentation by Wingmasters in Wenham Massachusetts. Come see live owls up close in this indoor presentation that will introduce you to different owls and other birds of prey in our region. The presentations start at 10:30am or 2pm and includes admission to the museum. This program shows how owls use their specialized powers of sight, hearing and flight to survive and thrive. A wealth of fact and folklore about these masters of the dark explains the natural and unnatural history of owls. A variety of live owls provides the focus of the presentation.
