Newburyport's Fall Harvest Festival 2019

The Newburyport Harvest Festival is a tradition filled with family fun!

Come to downtown Newburyport on Sunday & Monday of Columbus Day weekend for our annual Fall Harvest Festival! Enjoy great food, live music, and family fun while celebrating autumn's arrival. Explore downtown shops as well as craft vendor booths from artisans all over New England! Bring the kids in the morning for children's entertainment in Market Square the annual Scarecrow Contest.

Marblehead Pumpkin Decorating Workshops

Join a pumpkin decorating workshop in Marblehead at the Clifton Lutheran Church

Please join us for pumpkin decorating, face painting, music, cider donuts and more! Decorated pumpkins may be left to be submitted into the MFF's Pumpkin Illumination on 10/24 (for a chance to win prizes!). Admission include everything needed to decorate a pumpkin! Hosted by the Marblehead Family Fund and the Marblehead Recreation Department.

Paint Your Own Buoy

Kids will paint their own buoys as ornaments on the Gloucester Lobster Trap Tree!

Kids of all ages are welcome to paint their own buoy at Cape Ann Art Haven ! Bring your inner artist and paint a buoy for use as decoration ornaments on the Gloucester Lobster Trap Buoy Tree.  Buoys will be on display throughout the Holiday season, and then they'll be auctioned off in January at Art Haven's Annual Buoy Auction Fundraiser!

Second Saturday - Faces of the Community

Cape Ann residents of all ages are invited to join Museum Educator Kendall Reynolds for a collograph printmaking workshop!

The Museum is free all day for Cape Ann residents on the second Saturday of every month in 2020! The second Saturday of every month is free for families with school-aged children. From 10am to 12pm, families are invited to tour the galleries or take a free workshop in the Activity Center. Each month has a different theme or special guest related to the art, history and culture of Cape Ann. Reservations required for workshops and events.

LEGO Bakers Light Make & Take

Get a LEGO replica of the Bakers Island Light at the Salem Visitor Center

Calling all LEGO lovers! Join us on Wednesday, Februrary 19th during school vacation for an exciting LEGO Friendship "Make & Take" event co-hosted by Essex Heritage and the National Park Service! Participants will have the chance to make and take home their very own lighthouse keeper minifigure and mini Bakers Island Light. Space is limited, so reservations are required. Come celebrate the maritime heritage of Salem through the art of LEGO building!

CAM Pop-up Portrait Workshop

Cape Ann residents of all ages are invited to join Museum Educator Kendall Reynolds for a self portrait workshop. Sit down at a family style table in the Museum’s auditorium with members of the Cape Ann community to draw a portrait of yourself in oil pastel. This portrait workshop is part of a community-wide public art project to be unveiled at the June 2020 opening of the Museum’s expanded campus. Hope to see you there!
