You do not have access to view this node invites families to meet their volunteer workers at the farm - the lambs! They don't get paid for what they do, but they do lots of work at GMF. They arrived a couple weeks ago and have been dutifully eating the winter rye in the front field. Converting plant material into manure just where we need it is an invaluable job. They also happen to be terribly cute, so that helps. Come and meet them officially during Meet the Lambs Day. There will be a craft in the Farmstand and Mrs. Green will be on hand to talk about the sheepies out in the field.

Learn about the life of a chicken on our farm and welcome our newest additions to the farm menagerie, the chicks! There will be free crafts and an out door scavenger hunt if the weather allows. This event is free and open to the public.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council is presenting a showcase concert featuring the excellence and diversity of music and dance traditions thriving in Massachusetts today. Performers are past or current recipients of an Artist Fellowship or Traditional Arts Apprenticeship, prestigious awards from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Come experience a Dominican carnival procession, then be enthralled by leading exponents of South Indian vocals, violin, and percussion, West African balafon (xylophone), djembe drum, and ceremonial dance, and Irish flute, uilleann pipe and old style step dance.
The Manchester Public Library invites little ones and their caregivers to a fun session of song, rhyme storytelling and movement! Led by Lisa Cheney, four weeks of fun rhymes, songs, and movement for little ones on Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM! This program begins on March 23 and goes until April 13.
MIT Museum invites you for an evening of nautically-themed science and engineering! The museums annual Nautical Night event celebrates the sea, and MIT’s rich history in nautical design and research. We’ve planned interactive demonstrations, short talks, and a rare chance to view plans and prints from our renowned collection. Visit from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. for this free event. The Wenham Tea House invites you to a Children's Tea that's a fun and interesting way to pass the afternoon with you and your children! These teas are magical experiences for girls and boys of all ages to interact with their favorite storybook character. We invite a professional actress to dress up as a character from a magical universe and come down to the Tea House and read the character's story to our guests as we serve a delightful menu of treats to you and your loved ones. All children's teas start promptly at 3:30pm and end at 5pm. Prince and Princess dress for the young ones is welcomed and appreciated. Please arrive at 3:15pm to get your seat and beverage selection.
With February vacation coming to a close, families looking for an enriching activity to get them out of the house are invited to the Cape Ann Museum’s Activity Center to try their hand at instrument making using recycled items, followed by an intimate musical experience with Kathleen and Jeremy Adams. The midday mini-concert & instrument demonstration portion of the program will be performed on the Adams harpsichord and chamber organ in the special exhibition, Voicing the Woods: Jeremy Adams, Instrument Maker, on view at the Cape Ann Museum from October 22, 2016 through February 26, 2017. Families are invited to join in with their newly fashioned musical creations.
On selected Sunday afternoons through Winter, the refuge will be screening FREE, child-friendly films that feature a wildlife and/or environmental theme. All films will be projected on the big screen in the refuge visitor center’s awesome auditorium. No preregistration; simply show up! All movies begin at 1:30 pm.
