Set sail on a full-scale replica of the famous 1812 privateer schooner FAME. FAME is a replica of a privateer schooner that sailed from Salem during the War of 1812! We sail up to five times a day between May and October from Pickering Wharf in Salem.
STEAM story time for children ages 6-10 incorporates science concepts with stories and activities. This month, join us to dig into what fossils are and how they are found! We will use tools like shovels, paint brushes, and tweezers to excavate our own dig sites. Be ready for a dino-mite story time!

Kids activities will happening at East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street with music, activities, games, and more.
Join Seaside Sustainability for a COASTSWEEP clean up of Singing Beach from 9-11am on Saturday, September 9th! What to Bring: Appropriate clothes for being on the coast, hat, sunscreen, water, snack, thin gloves optional, hand sanitizer, and a friend or two! Seaside Sustainability will supply everything you’ll need for the cleanups.
NF Northeast is excited to announce our 12th Annual Coast to the Cure ride to benefit NF Northeast on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA. Participants will have the option to choose from 24, 40, or 66 mile courses. Day of registration opens at 6:30 am and staggered starts will begin at 7:00 am (see below for details). Registration fee includes rest stops with food and drink along the course, SAG wagon, post-ride lunch by Amigos Locos food truck and entrance to the beer garden (must be over 21 years of age).
The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club hosts the monthly meeting in Lanesville, North of Gloucester Massachusetts! We haven’t seen the usual summer planets in our evening skies yet this year, but Jupiter and Saturn rise earlier every night, and along with Uranus they’ll be visible during more convenient evening hours this fall.

Grab your friends or family, jump in the car and head over to Plum Island for a weekend of drive-in movies! All proceeds to benefit the Newburyport Youth Services scholarship funds. The menu will change weekly, featuring local and seasonal ingredients, including produce from our own farm. Pizza varieties will include cheese, meat and seasonal veggie, with other options available such as artisan pastries, seasonal salads and lighter fare.
Please join Keep Beverly Beautiful for an organized volunteer-led downtown litter clean-up. We will meet at the Judson Street side of the Cabot Theatre at 9:00am. We have trash bags and adult-sized gloves to share, and usually pick up litter for about an hour. We appreciate your help keeping our city clean!
