Join us for a low-sensory play session. For some children, visiting places like NSCM can be over-stimulating. This special play session will have reduced noise, crowds, and stimulation.
While medical diagnosis is not required, we encourage that these limited tickets be used for families with a child on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorders.
In Miss Shelleys yoga class for kids, the focus is on making the practice fun, interactive, and age-appropriate. The class includes warm-up activities, teaching yoga poses through storytelling and games, and incorporating music, props, and visuals. There are partner poses and group activities to encourage cooperation and teamwork. The class ends with a cool-down segment that includes gentle stretches and relaxation exercises. The overall goal is to promote physical fitness, mindfulness, and emotional well-being in a playful and joyful environment.
Mini Movers is an engaging dance and movement class for young children at the North Shore Children's Museum. Led by experienced instructors, the program introduces young children to the world of dance in a safe and nurturing environment.
Join in on Sundays at 2:30 for STEAM Club for ages 5-11. Each week participants will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with our NSCM staff! Every STEAM club session will see your kids participating in hands-on activities while exploring a new topic. Space is limited, please add a participant ticket to your cart along with admission for your entire party.

The Museum of Fine Arts will honor Memorial Day with an Open House and will waive all admission fees. Visitors can enjoy complimentary admission to the MFA's galleries, family activities and performances. This April Vacation, young visitors are invited to discover the art and history of Cape Ann at the CAM Green! Explore the newest exhibition, Breath of Life – C.B. Fisk, Designers & Builders of Pipe Organs to learn about these incredible instruments. View intricate models of the architectural spaces and pipe organs they design, see tools used in the construction process, take an audio scavenger hunt, and enjoy one of the daily drop-in art making activities.
In keeping with John Hays Hammond, Jr's original vision for his seaside castle-home to serve as a museum offering the Gloucester community access to ancient works of architectural art, Hammond Castle Museum will offer Gloucester residents free, self-guided tours each Tuesday throughout the regular season which runs through the end of October.
