Knitting Club at Essex Library

Come try your hand at knitting at the Essex Library! Ages 6 and up

The TOHP Burnham Public Library in Essex hosts a knitting club for anybody aged 6 and up! Children ages 6 years and older with an adult-Learn the basics of knitting AND sewing with Ms. Christine. No experience necessary! Build hand strength and dexterity which will support fine motor skills. Participants will receive knitting needles and yarn to keep. CAM Kids: Be Mine Valentine

CAM Kids: Valentine Workshop Second Saturday in Gloucester Massachusetts

Warm your hearts in chilly February by making a handmade love letter from new and recycled papers. Participants are invited to bring their own recycled papers or choose from the many beautiful papers in the CAM Studio. A friend, a loved one, a special sweetheart or a place, like Cape Ann -- who you write to is up to you! Let them know how special they are.

There is no better way to ring in the New Year with family and friends of all ages than at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s annual New Year’s Eve Celebration. Ring in the New Year before bedtime! Our annual daytime New Year's Eve Celebration is a long-time family favorite.

Brotherhood of the Arrow & Sword at Hammond Castle

Bring your kids to the Hammond Castle Museum in Gloucester Massachusetts for a live medieval reenactment.

The Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword is an educational based medieval reenactment group dedicated to the presentation and practice of historical European martial arts and other facets of medieval life. Our armored fight demos are high energy and entertaining. The Brotherhood will perform an armored fight demo as well as explore life on the medieval battlefield. There will be two sessions available for these performances: 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Cape Ann Museum Make and Take Fabric Postcards Gloucester Massachusetts

The Sisters In Stitches Joined By The Cloth will be hosting a Make & Take workshop where attendees can create their own fabric postcards at the Janet & William Ellery James Center at the Cape Ann Museum Green on Sunday, July 24. This hands-on event is presented in conjunction with In Her Mind’s Eye: Doris Elizabeth Prouty, an exhibition of quilts designed and sewn by Gloucester resident and self-taught African American quilter, Doris Elizabeth Prouty. Free and open to the public, seats limited and registration required.
