New Planetarium Show Suited for Adults and Children with Sound/Light Sensitivities, and More

The first show, Big Bird's Adventure: One World, One Sky (Soft Light, Soft Sound) will be offered for the first time October 6 at 10:30 am and will also be shown on the first Sundays of November and December as well. With looser house rules, audience members should feel comfortable to talk amongst themselves and move from their seats, so that everyone feels welcome to enjoy the Planetarium experience and the wonders of the night sky regardless of sensory needs, ability, or age.

Astronomy After Hours at the MOS Observatory

Come to the Museum of Science rooftop for free stargazing and astronomy related

Tucked away on the roof of the Museum's parking garage, the Gilliland Observatory is a wonderful resource for our starry-eyed public. On clear nights, you can view stars, planets, the Moon, and other astronomical phenomena. On cloudy nights, tour the inside of the Observatory, and participate in astronomy-related activities run by our knowledgeable staff. Astronomy After Hours is the perfect place to kick off your weekend with your family.

Young at Art at CAM

Young at art is a program for toddlers at the Cape ann museum in Gloucester Massachusetts

Bring your toddler to Cape Ann Museum on the second Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for Young at Art, a gallery-based storytime! Recommended for children ages 4 and younger with an adult. This drop-in program is free for members or with Museum admission. Star Wars Day Weekend at Boston Children's Museum - May the 4th be with you!

Visit a galaxy not so far away to celebrate the art, science, and design of Star Wars! All weekend long dress up as your favorite Star Wars character, test your Jedi skills on the training course, build an X-wing or the Death Star with KEVA blocks, and meet some of your favorite characters. Make a lightsaber, explore robotics, design a costume, and maybe even meet R2D2! Check the daily calendar with specific times and additional activities. Costumes encouraged! Consider what freedom means to you and your relationship with nature through writing prompts inspired by the Jewish Arts Collaborative and National Poetry Month. Meet members from the Backyard Growers Program, a nonprofit organization that has built more than 200 raised bed gardens, serving hundreds of Gloucester residents, and learn about the food system, the garden ecosystem and the science behind growing food.
