The Trustees of Reservations hosts a fun afternoon at The Great House at Castle Hillof fun for families with proceeds to benefit the Ipswich Humane Group! Explore the Great House while searching for images of animals in paintings, wallpaper, and decorative arts. Each child will receive a small prize for completing the treasure hunt. Don't miss the face painting and coloring table, too!

This Walk on the Wild Side is part of a series where adults and children can spend quality family time in the great outdoors finding, observing, and admiring local wildlife.
In 2013, a group of local moms, in partnership with the Winner’s Circle Running Club organized this running/walking event to support the One Fund and the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Last year this event raised $15,000 for the One Fund … let’s do it again! If you are a runner/walker, sign up now to support the cause. There's a special Kids Run at 10am followed by the Charity Run at 10:30am. Event day registration starts at 8:30 AM at Cashman Park.

The Sweetbay Swamp Quest is a clue-based treasure hunt through the swamp trails, discovering stories about our nearly "loved to death" Sweetbay Magnolia and to a Quest Treasure Box. This wildside walk is a tide-pooling adventure! Adults and children can spend quality family time in the great outdoors finding, observing, and admiring local wildlife. Excursions might include a group game to burn off some steam, an on-the-water scavenger hunt, or a guided tour. We'll observe, investigate, and compare coastal environments and their inhabitants, both on- and offshore. Participants play out the roles of birders, trackers, and astronomers in all venues. Each adventure will leave your family excited to come back for more!
