Come explore what nature has in store at some of our most amazing wild places on the north shore. Our engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local beaches, forests, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. Parker River National Wildlife Refuge invites teens to join refuge staff and members of West Newbury Wild & Native for a workshop on the importance of collecting and sowing native seeds. Learn about local native plants and seed collecting, then rotate through stations to create 3-4 pots of different seed mixes to take home!
Rockport New Years Eve is an annual family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration of the arts in picturesque downtown Rockport, Massachusetts. Halls, churches, town offices, and some streets are taken over by happy revelers celebrating the New Year. Most of the venues are handicap accessible. Admission to most events requires the purchase of an inexpensive button, and a few events are free. Performances include music, dance, puppet shows, magic, and much more. Activities conclude with a midnight ball drop. Children's entertainment wraps up with an early New Year celebration.
