Teens are invited to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge to learn about owls! Join Parker River Staff to crochet a snowy owl. Using amigurumi, the Japanese practice of crocheting small stuffed yarn, we will crochet a small stuffed snowy owl that's great for desk decoration, keychain, or dangle. Beginners welcome!
Families are invited to the library to come make their own gingerbread house out of graham crackers. Design your own candy wonderland! Registration is required.

Come enjoy a hike at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield, one of Mass Audubon's largest sanctuaries. Make lanterns that will light the way for our evening hike as we look and listen for local owls and other nighttime wildlife. Spend time warming up around the campfire as you roast marshmallows and make smores, learn about winter adaptations, and watch the moon rise. Two Sessions: 2-3:30 or 4-5:30
Ipswich River Watershed Association hosts a fish printing craft session during Ipswich Evergreen. Participants will be repurposing real fish (shad, originally used for scientific research) and making beautiful and unique prints which can be used for gifts, decorations, cards, or anything your heart desires!

This session wiil focus on how people in Salem Massachusetts have interacted with the gifts from the sealfor time immemorial. We will follow up with a hands-on, take-home craft. SOLD OUT! Learn how to craft a beautiful wreath for the holidays or for the winter season with Iris Weaver! Using fresh greens, foraged dried plant stalks, pine cones, nuts, faux berries and leaves, cinnamon sticks, and more, you’ll create a unique 8″ to 12” wreath during this two-hour workshop. This wreath is a lovely way to bring the energy of the season into your home. All materials will be provided, though we suggest bringing a box to transport your wreath home afterward.
