Horseshoe Crab Kayak Paddle

Explore the Crane Wildlife Refuge on a kayak tour in search of horseshoe crab!

Join The Trustees and Essex River Basin Adventures for a guided kayak paddle of the Crane Wildlife Refuge. During this specialty paddle, we will set off by boat in search of migrating horseshoe crabs in Essex Bay. Price includes kayak rental and equipment, tour guides, and launch fees. To register within 48 hours of a paddle, please contact the beach office by phone.

Cape Ann Pan Mass Challenge Kids Ride North of Boston Brookwood School Mancheste

Brookwood School is proud to host its fourth PMC Kids Ride. We hope to hit the $15,000 mark with funds raised by kids in Manchester, Massachusetts and the twenty-six surrounding communities represented by riders in past years. Many kids, many bikes, one mission: cure cancer. Kids of all ages find fun, camaraderie, and inspiration in bringing us closer by the mile to the cure for cancer with donations to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Pan-Ipswich Challenge

The Pan-Ipswich Challenge traverses Ipswich by trail and raises funds for ECTA

The ECTA Pan Ipswich Challenge is a ~20 mile walk or run fundraiser from the west end of Ipswich (Hood Pond) to the coast (Steep Hill Beach) that will highlight some of the best trails and open lands on the North Shore! Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 through pledges with the proceeds going to the ECTA.

Lucky Duck Derby

The Lucky Duck Derby, hosted by Newburyport Youth Services, is a family event

The Lucky Duck Derby, hosted by Newburyport Youth Services, is a family and community event. Don’t be a Lame Duck, join the fun! Participants will 'sponsor' ducks. Children will receive a 'Duckie Certificate' and be able to name their ducks. Up to 2,000 rubber duckies will be numbered and placed in the Bartlet Mall pond. The Big Duck will head out in a row boat and randomly pick the winning ducks!

Canoeing & Birding the Ipswich River - Teens Only!

Teens can explore the Ipswich River while birding on this adventure!

If you're a junior high or high school student interested in nature, this is the program for you! Spend the day birding and paddling the Ipswich River, a great place to observe spring migrants. We will join Drumlin Farm's Becky Gilles and her Peregrine Birders in hopes of getting close looks at herons, hawks, and warblers. Leave mom and dad behind and meet some other teens who share the same interests as you!
