We’ll be leading a short paddle down river to the historic Peatfield landing where we’ve installed the our newest kiosk. Then we’ll return to Riverbend for ice cream, soda, beer, music and games. “Aurora Over the Silk Road” is an interactive workshop created and produced by teen siblings Yasmine and Anthony as the culmination of a homeschooling project. The brother-sister duo founded Yasmanth Inc. to take their presentation on tour around the country. This program is included with paid admission to the Children’s Museum and is free for museum members.

Water telescopes are long tubes with glass at the bottom to view things underwater. Fishermen in Norway have used them for centuries to search for herring and cod. We’ll make our own water telescopes, and then head to the beach to try them out by the tidepools. Who knows what we’ll discover!
