Back by popular demand! After a successful inaugural sale in 2024, Wenham Museum’s Spring & Summer Sports Sale returns for its second year. In keeping with the Museum’s former Attic Treasures Sale tradition, the Spring & Summer Sports Sale brings the community together for a fun and affordable resale event to benefit Wenham Museum.
All are invited to April Vacation Week for free activities exploring connections between the people, places, and art made in Massachusetts. All ages and abilities are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. See Visiting with Kids and Family for more information.
Inspired by the exhibition on view, Portrait of a Sculptor: Walker Hancock & Michael Lafferty. Create your own animal or fantastic creature with air-dry clay, inspired by the artist Katharine Lane Weems. Recommended ages 3 and up. Adult supervision required. Free and open to the public. Vehicle reservation recommended to ensure parking.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! Calling all LEGO fans – we’re excited to welcome the LEGO Train back to the Wenham Museum this February! Come see a rainbow colored, L-gauge model train speeding along a brick track as it races by soaring skyscrapers, country cottages, mountainside ski slopes and much more. The LEGO Train is designed with the highest degree of precision (and a sense of humor!) by the New England LEGO Users Group (NELUG).
Join us as we celebrate the legacy and leadership of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with free admission to the museum! Come explore America, A Hymnal, David Boxer’s The Black Books, Alison Saar’s Weight and other works that examine social justice, identity and freedom across the generations.
Join us for a fun and creative series of workshops where children can learn traditional decorative arts and take home their very own handmade projects! The first class will introduce the timeless art of cross-stitch. In this beginner-friendly workshop, children will learn the basics of cross-stitch while creating a beautiful bookmark to take home. All materials provided. No prior experience is necessary. Ages 6+
Engage with and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, celebrating their lessons, creativity, and imagination with storytelling, impactful conversation, soundscapes and art-marking! On this free general admission day, artists and thought leaders will share reflections on social justice, equity, and empowerment.
Join us for our annual MLK Day Open House, presented in partnership with Citizens. This year, the MFA offers free admission—including access to “Georgia O’Keeffe and Henry Moore”—for Massachusetts residents. Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King by surrounding yourself with art making, performances, and talks with members of our community!
Ipswich Evergreen is a Holiday festival and civic celebration at the Ipswich Visitor Center , and Ipswich's Old South Meetinghouse Green. Ipswich has great cause for merriment and jubilation! With the new year in sight, let us gather as a community to reflect on what makes living in Ipswich the year round most wonderful with a make and take wreath session. Celebrate the solstice, make and take an evergreen wreath, and join the community celebration!
