Boston Marathon Day at MOS

Learn about the science behind long distance endurance running at MOS

Whether you're running or spectating at the Boston Marathon this year, a visit to Museum of Science will teach you the latest in endurance sports science! The museum has created special exibits and hands-on activities that will allow visitors to explore the science behind long-distance endurance running. Combined with presentations by special guests, visitors will gain a better understanding the forces experienced by the runner's body, and what training does to minimize their effects.

Sally Patty the Doll and Story-Teller Sharon Grimes visits the Ipswich Museum

Kids and their families are invited to the Ipswich Museum for a fun session of stories, singing and dancing! "Sally Patty" the doll and local storyteller Sharon Grimes will be here at 3pm for storytelling, song and dance. This program complements our winter exhibit “Focusing on the Child,” featuring objects, images, and family-friendly activities. First floor rooms open for viewing. Exhibit features a "Kid's Corner," with modern and reproduction toys for hands-on play.

All Ages Makers Workshop at CMNH

Learn How to solder with simple kits that have taught thousands this basic elect

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire hosts an all ages maker workshop! Join Alex Nunn of Seacoast Makers to learn how to solder, make a robot badge and build an LED light that can be controlled by a switch. Fee: $10 per adult or adult/child pair, plus $6 materials fee. CMNH hosts a day long workshop inpsired by the PBS series 'Making Stuff'

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire want you to make stuff! With inspiration and materials from PBS NOVA's "Making Stuff" series, we're setting up our Studio space for kids to get creative. 'Focusing on the Child' at Ipswich Museum

Ipswich Museum hosts their Winter exhibit 'Focusing on the Child'. This exhibit explores the lives of children in Ipswich through a variety of paintings, photographs, and objects.
