BCM Star Wars Weekend

Star Wars Day Weekend at Boston Children's Museum - May the 4th be with you!

Visit a galaxy not so far away to celebrate the art, science, and design of Star Wars! All weekend long dress up as your favorite Star Wars character, test your Jedi skills on the training course, build an X-wing or the Death Star with KEVA blocks, and meet some of your favorite characters. Make a lightsaber, explore robotics, design a costume, and maybe even meet R2D2! Check the daily calendar with specific times and additional activities. Costumes encouraged! But please, leave your blasters at home. Your saga begins at Boston Children’s Museum!

May the 4th is commonly known as Star Wars Day. This year, Newburyport Youth Services is excited to announce that we will be holding our 2nd Annual Star Wars party from 6:00-8:30pm. The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi!  Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects such as LEGO X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imaginations and engineering to defeat the Empire!

Jedi Knight Training

Learn to defeat the Sith and embrace the Light side of the force on Salem Common

Children between the ages of four and nine years old will have a chance to interact with a real Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight Training will be held on the Common — an interactive performance that is great for both boys and girls! Children are led through a series of challenges including Jedi Force Magic, the Laser Balloon Barrage and Jedi Teamwork culminating in an epic lightsaber duel with the Jedi Master himself. This FREE event is open to children aged 4-9, and costumes are encouraged!
