Essex Memorial Day Parade

The Essex Veterans Association and American Legion Essex Post 231 will conduct the 2025 Essex Memorial Day service at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 26th at Shepard Memorial Park next to Town Hall on Martin Street. In addition to our local Essex Veterans Honor Guard, participants will include the Manchester Essex Regional High School Band as well as the Essex Police and Fire Departments. Our guest speaker this year will be US Army Major Morgan Jaffray, decorated combat nurse and medical officer, and Iraq veteran.

Annual Art in the Barn Exhibit and Sale

Art in the Barn is a fundraiser for the Essex County Greenbelt Association Essex Mass

Art in the Barn is recognized as one of the North Shore’s premier art events, showcasing the work of some of the most talented artists in the region. An annual fundraising event for over 30 years, the show takes place at Greenbelt’s headquarters, Cox Reservation in Essex, an iconic plein air painting location, conserved forever by Greenbelt.Paintings, Photographs, Collages, Pastels, Sculpture, Ceramics, Blown glass, Fine woodworking, Stonework and more! All purchases support Greenbelt’s conservation work in Essex County!

Bowl Painting at TOHP Burnham Library

Proceeds from the Open Door Empty Bowl dinner benefit community programs in citys and towns on the North Shore.

Help paint a bowl to be auctioned at The Open Door's annual fundraiser!! All supplies are provided. Spaces are limited and registration is required. This program is intended for adults, teens and children (ages 8 and older.) Children aged 7 and younger may register and participate with a caretaker's assistance.
