The REAL (Reading • Educational Assistance • Learning) Program is holding their 2nd annual fundraising event, called "A REAL Night Out" at the Glen Urquhart School in Beverly, MA. The event will feature live and silent auctions, speakers, and entertainment. The event will be attneded by 250-350 community activists, local philanthropists, parents of children in the program, educational professionals, community leaders, city officials, and city school employees.

This race is to honor Bill – a former member and previously on the board of directors of the YMCA who unfortunately lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma. The ECTA annual ECTAthlon is friendly relay competition held at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield and Hamilton and on private trails in Ipswich where teams or individuals compete in running, mountain biking, horseback riding and kayaking events. This unique event, which will be held on Saturday, June 4th, was envisioned as a way to bring diverse trail users together in a fun and exciting way, and to highlight the incredible network of trails in our area. The June 4th date also coincides with American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, a series of nationwide events celebrating trails and trail access.
The Marblehead Community Charter Public School is hosting a LEGO Firewalk Challenge to support pediatric cancer research Sunday May 22nd 2016 1pm-3pm. This is a benefit for the MassGeneral Hospital for Children. The school wants to establish a world record at this event, please support this worthy cause! Rainforest Reptile Shows hosts “Night of Reptiles” Family night! Tickets include a live animal demonstration, dinner, children’s activities, door prizes,silent auction and hands on reptile encounters. Bring your camera! Limited tickets available! Some of the animals in attendance may include Fred, a 6-foot-long alligator, Venus, a 20-foot-long snake, and even a bird of prey! You will be able to meet, touch, and take your picture with snakes, lizards, turtles, and alligators. This fundraiser is to kick off the premier of Rainforest Reptile Shows new nonprofit RRS OASIS a 501(c)(3).
The Girls Inc. Bowl-A-Thon is a fundraising event for girls between the ages of 9 - 18, to benefit Girls Inc. of the Seacoast Area. The event will take place on Saturday, May 14 at Gametime Lanes and Entertainment in Amesbury, MA. Proceeds will support Girls Inc. programming in our local schools.
