Kids Cookie Decorating Class at Marini Farm

Kids will learn how to decorate holidQay cookies at Marini Farm in Ipswich MA!

A class that will focus around decorating Holiday Cookies. Our little chefs will begin by decorating a holiday craft. They will then use their creative energy and icing to decorate their holiday cookies. Each chef will receive enough cookies to have a snack and take a few home.

  • Ages Pre - K and up reccommended (Only children participating need a ticket)
  • Event takes about an hour.
  • Parents are welcome to stay and help or walk around our christmas tree lot and holiday store.

Shine A Light: A Family Night Hike

Join the Trustees on a night hike with your Family at the Crane Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts

On this Friday before Thanksgiving, in the dark of the new moon, we’ll walk with tea lights (no open flames!) to illuminate our passage through the trails and along the rolling hills at the Crane Estate. While we walk, we’ll talk about the first Thanksgiving, and how giving thanks can make us appreciate all the good and wonder in our lives. You’ll be amazed at how fortunate you are when you stop taking things for granted! Come with an attitude of gratitude! Pre-registration is suggested.

BMPAA Electronic Recycling Event

Recycle your old electronics and help the Beverly High School Music Department

The Beverly High School Music Department will host its third annual electronic recycling event on Saturday, November 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at the BHS parking lot. For a fee, drop off your old electronics at the BHS parking lot. Recycle your unwanted televisions, air conditioners, appliances, phones, fire extinguishers and much more. Nobuntu: A Cappella at Its Best

Nobuntu brings a cappella from Africa to the Rogers Center for the Arts in North Andover

Nobuntu is a “Five Part” A’cappella Vocal ensemble made up of young women from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The name Nobuntu is an African concept that values humbleness, love, purpose, unity and family from a woman’s perspective. Their repertoire is a fusion of traditional Zimbabwean rooted music, Afro Jazz, Gospel and Crossover in pure voices with minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as Mbira and some dance movements. See them here in their ONLY Boston Area performance before they appear at Lincoln Center in NYC.
