Friends of Troop 2 & Troop 6 of the Beverly Boy Scouts is holding the eighth annual electronics recycling event so you can responsibly get rid of your broken, old and unused electronics. Your materials will be taken by a qualified electronics disposal firm. There is a nominal fee for this service, which supports the activities of Beverly’s Boy Scout Troop 2 & Troop 6.

Come to Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats for a full day of activities all about ocean creatures like whales, sea turtles and fish! We’ll learn about ocean sustainability and seashore conservation with fun, informative games like mini sporting events, quiz competitions, model building, and art projects for all ages!
March is the time for sugaring in New England. Appleton keeps this very special tradition alive by tapping the farms beautiful maple trees and producing wood-fired, small-batch syrup. The first part of the workshop will include a leisurely walk around the farmstead to show how sap is harvested and collected. The tour will wrap up at our sugar shack so you can see (and smell!) the transformation of sap to syrup. You'll gather in the farm kitchen for the second part of the workshop, where chef Carolyn Grieco will teach how to make some of the most delectable maple syrup recipes. Workshop ends with a generous sampling of all our delicious maple dishes!
The Kenny Academy of Irish Dance in Beverly will be offering FREE trial classes in honor of Saint Patrick's Day! Come learn a reel and a jig on Tuesday, March 8th or Thursday March 10th and experience a piece of Irish culture with instructors, Irish husband and wife team Michael and Rose Kenny.

The Newbury Town Library invites teens to their Friday Flicks Series! We're showing movies in the Community Room after school on the 3rd Friday of each month at 2:45pm, just for teens. Register for North Shore’s 37th Annual Good Friday Walk and help needy families in the North Shore. This year, funds are needed more than ever and any walker who raises at least $20 will be given a commemorative walk t – shirt. The 10.5 mile walk will start at St. John the Evangelist School and proceed to the Baptist Church in Downtown Beverly, then continue on to the Church in the Cove and St. Margaret’s Church in Beverly Farms. Walkers will follow the same route back to St. John’s.

What makes painting different from other art forms? Find out! Wear some old clothes and try painting at easels the museum will set up in Burnham Hall. Simple instructions, challenges, and materials will be provided.
We decided to check out the Appleton Farms Sugar Shack recently and loved the whole experience! This new operation is taking advantage of the many maples that line the trails and dirt roads that criss-cross the farm, and they're boiling down as much as they can so that eventually there will be a small supply of pure maple syrup available at the farm store!
