Jungle Jim's Minecraft Madness combines Magic, Comedy and balloons at Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester Massach

Balloon art, magic, comedy and audience participation make this a fun engaging show that kids and Minecraft fans will love! All ages are welcome.Activities include Giant Dragon creation, the Building Block Madness Torunament, a riveting Zombie Chase and the Balloon Firework Rocket extravaganza!  It all lead up to the big finale - a humungous 6-foot slime ball! Tuesday Story Hour at the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is a great opportunity to meet new friends, play outside, relax indoors listening to a story, visit our school and experience the Waldorf environment. Story hour includes outdoor play in our playground and a story and/or puppet show.

Our story hour experience will give you a small window into a Waldorf education.

This year, Glen Urquhart School made the conscious decision to make its campus pesticide and herbicide free. With nature trails winding through its 23-acre campus, Glen Urquhart has always focused on the natural world. According to Head of School David Liebmann,

“GUS is committed to addressing many of today’s most challenging environmental issues, including that of pesticide and herbicide use, and reducing the school’s overall carbon footprint. We want to be good stewards of the environment, and also put into daily practice what we’re teaching students at GUS.“

Do you have a musical instrument not being used? Don’t waste it, donate it! The Musary, a one of a kind lending library of musical instruments, provides instruments for anyone in need, and we exist to inspire people everywhere to 'play on'. During North Shore Music Theater's run of the Music Man, The Musary will be taking donations in the North Shore Music Theatre lobby during any performance. Your instruments will be given new life as they’re lent to aspiring musicians throughout the community. Every little bit goes a long way in helping spread the love of music, so any donation is much appreciated.

NoBo Puppet Show

NoBo Puppet Show at the Larcom Theater in Beverly Massachusetts presented by Mudeye Puppet Co.

Performed by the Mud Eye Puppet Company, Hank Dave's Thoreau Down is an all-ages puppet show following the adventures of 8-year-old Jazzmine, who journeys to magical lands with Henry David Thoreau. Wally the Walrus will also make an appearance, once again coming face-to-face and tooth-to-tooth with the challenges of oral hygiene. And if we are lucky, the brave adventurers from the Space Betterment Foundation will take us with them on a new journey to a better space. ​

Green Earth Art Summer Camp Open House

Camp, Summer Program

Come get a taste of our summer camp program, see our beautiful outdoor campus and meet our camp director, Coleen Ryan. We will be making an upcycled t-shirt craft project from 3 to 4:30 pm. We will meet at the picnic table in front of the school.

This is free and open to the public.

Waldorf School at Moraine Farm Green Earth Art Summer Camp is perfect for children entering second through fifth grade. Middle school and older children are invited to volunteer as camp counselors and assist with the day-to-day runnings of the camp.

Through daily rhythms of free play, outdoor time, circle time, story time, visual arts, handwork and practical activities children exercise their creative muscles, develop their fine motor skills and create a strong foundation for their emerging literacy skills.

Wilderness First Aid 2-Day Course

Be prepared for any outdoor adventure and get certified to work in outdoor organizations and camps. Join this two-day Wilderness Medical Associates (https://www.wildmed.com/) course, April 22 -23, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm each day. This certification is ideal for seasonal outdoor staff and those involved in recreational wilderness trips.

Learn about general medical concepts and life support skills when definitive care is over 2 hours away.
