Come to the Cabot theater for a $1 showing of the classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder sponsored by Harbor Sweets Handmade Chocolates. A sweet boy from a poor family dreams of finding one of five golden tickets hidden inside chocolate bar wrappers which will admit him to the eccentric and reclusive Willy Wonka’s magical factory. One after another, tickets are discovered by ghastly children – but will the lad find the last remaining one and have all his dreams come true?
On Saturday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m., Abbot Public Library will feature the newest Disney Animation about a young woman named Asha who must work together with a fallen star to make her dreams come true and defeat the ruthless ruler who threatens the safety of her local community.
Come to the library for a Friday morning movie series for a popular hit movie! This weeks movie is Disney's "Wish". Water and movie snacks will be served. No sign up required.
Abbot Public Library hosts a movie for teens during the Winter Holidays! This showing features "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves" (PG-13) starring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Rege-Jean Page at 2:30 pm. Plot: A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.
Abbot Public Library will feature the fantasy musical film following the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he eventually became driven to enter the chocolate industry. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel. This movie is suggested for children ages 6 and up.
Abbot Public Library invites kids to a free showing of the newest Trolls sequel Trolls Band Together. Poppy learns that Branch was a member of the old popular boy band BroZone when he was younger, and Branch needs to go on an adventure to save his family.
