This event is FREE and no pre-registration is required. Danvers Family Festival tradition continues this year with the Annual Danvers Recreation Fishing Derby in Memory of Mike Gordon. The fun family event will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 11:00am sharp. (All fish must be weighed-in by 11am). Anglers of all ages will line the perimeter of the picturesque Mill Pond in Danvers and cast their lines in the morning air. Hoots and hollers can be heard as kids and their parents make a catch! (Mainly perch, catfish and pickerel)
Paul Hogg, the Newburyport Harbormaster, and Maren Olsen, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Angler Education Program to put on a kids fishing clinic in May. The maximum number is 35 kids to keep it manageable. A parent/guardian is required to be there with their child(ren) and to reserve a spot, they must fill out the required registration form (attached).
Meet at Campground Nature Center - - There are numerous bird species that make Harold Parker their home. Join the park interpreter for an easy walk on the park’s trails while identifying birds by sight and sound. Appropriate for all ages. Bring binoculars if you have them.

'Let's Go Fishing' is a Free Fun Family Day at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge! This day log Family Event introduces kids and families to the world of fish and recreational fishing through fun hands-on activities and instruction. There will be a morning and afternoon session, making this a full day outing, so it's recommended that you pack a lunch and be ready to be outside all day!
The Trustees of Reservations are looking for a few good fishermen to donate their time to inspire the next generation of surfcasters to take up a rod and reel at Crane Beach. To volunteer, or for more information, please contact Garry Dow.
