The Life is good Festival welcomes families and kids to this musical event!

The Life is Good Festival in Canton this September has a lot of great acts performing over all weekend long, but did you know they've gone out of their way to provide special entertainment for the kids? For both days of the festival your kids will get a chance to see their favorite kid bands perform live, in addition to a lot of fun family activities that makes this festival a truly family-friendly event!

Vintage Base Ball Double Header - August 26

Come see how baseball used to be played (circa 1860s) at Spencer Pierce Farm

It’s Base Ball, 1861 style at Spencer Peirce Little Farm! Teams playing today are The Newburyport Clamdiggers, Lynn Live Oaks, and Lowell Base Ball Club. These fun, historically accurate games feature underhand pitching and no gloves are allowed. A ball bounced once and caught is an out! Snacks, baseballs, and cards are available for purchase. Come and see for yourself how this game was played in the 1860's!

The film tells the story of three young men and their weekend adventure in the Summer that follows their graduation from high school.  Written and directed by Brendan Fay, an Ipswich native, the film is a true product of the Ipswich community.

Museum of Science will bring their portable planetarium to Sawyer Free Library

Please join us for the "Night Sky" as the Museum of Science brings their inflatable planetarium to City Hall. Kids can explore the night sky, learn about the stars nearby and get some useful tips for stargazing in the back yard. This program is for Children ages 6 and over. Please register.
