Families are invited to a nature journaling workshop Castle Hill grounds in Ipswich Massachusetts

Calling all budding naturalists! Take inspiration from the beautiful landscape at Crane Estates and join us for a special session of creativity and observation. Families will create nature journals using a book-binding technique demonstrated by our coastal educators. Afterwards, participants will hike to inspiring parts of the estate where they can draw and document observations in their newly created journals. Our coastal educators will lead everyone through observational exercises and offer guidance as you make your first journal entry.

Theater in the Open ’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay is going on tour! Join our cast of the undead for a half-hour walk through eerie vignettes, spooky sketches and haunting scenes, all surrounded by the changing colors and autumn grandeur of Appleton Farm's in Ipswich Massachusetts. Want to learn how to make a festive pie in time for Halloween? Join our baker Kami and learn some tips and tricks to manipulate pie dough to make some creepy creations! Everyone will walk away from the class with pie dough and their own Halloween themed desserts to take home. The Trustees have partnered with the Vintage Sports Car Club of America for an exciting event featuring pre-WWII cars competing in timed raced in Ipswich Massachusetts

Canceled! The Trustees have partnered with the Vintage Sports Car Club of America for an exciting event featuring pre-WWII cars competing in timed races at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate. Come for the day and enjoy live music, food trucks, a bootlegger’s garden and picnicking on the lawn! Schedule a 30-minute guided Great House tour set in 1929. A Crane maid or footman will show you guest and family rooms. Advance tour reservations and additional fee are required.

Hayrides at Appleton Farms

Hayrides at Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts are fun for the whole family!

Experience the beautiful scenery, crisp air and changing and vibrant colors of Appleton Farms in the fall as you enjoy a hayride across ths idyllic property. Rides will depart every twenty minutes between 12-4pm on weekends and 4-7pm on Fridays. Space is limited, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
