This summer, the Cape Ann Museum is proud to unveil a Contemporary Art Wetu at the Cape Ann Museum Green. Join the Museum to see the installation in process on Friday, June 21 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Come see and touch animal furs, replica skulls, animal models, and other natural history materials. For little artists, coloring pages and washable markers will be on hand. Open rain or shine. Join Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm and the Essex Base Ball Association for a day of vintage base ball! The four teams of Essex Base Ball, the Newburyport Clamdiggers, Lowell Base Ball Club, Portsmouth Rockingham's, and the Lynn Live Oaks, play using 1864 rules. At these fun, historically accurate games, gloves are not allowed, players pitch underhand, and a ball bounced once and caught is an out. Bring a picnic or partake in beer and hot dogs from our at friends Ipswich Ale!
The Motif No.1 Day Festival celebrates Rockport across the arts! The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring back Motif No. 1 Day, a beloved event celebrating the long history of artists featuring Motif No.1 in their works. The event will be held on Saturday, May 18 (rain date Sunday, May 19). Motif No. 1 Day is an artistic festival, which showcases Rockport as a premier arts destination. The event aims to promote Rockport businesses to the local community and regional visitors alike. All Rockport Art Galleries are invited to participate!
