An informal weekly club for 10 - 14 year olds to play Minecraft together! Come explore this amazing creative world! Those new to Minecraft are welcome as instruction will be given by other experienced Minecrafters!
Interesting hikes, natural history topics to explore, and real data-collection opportunities will all be based on your input and interests in this exciting club for teens. Get involved behind the scenes with Mass Audubon's science and conservation work. We meet one or two Saturdays a month during our spring and fall sessions. We also take one full-day field trip each session to connect with local organizations and learn more about environmental issues in our communities and how you can make a real difference. Meet other local teens who are passionate about nature, science, and taking care of our world.
Play Minecraft with other children grades 1-5 (ages 6 and up) Learn new tricks from each other and explore and build in a world together. This group is for children in grades 1 and up. Due to our child safety policy, at least one parent per session will need to volunteer to stay in the room the entire time of the program, from 3:30-4:30. “Can you teleport me?” “How do I fly?” “I need a sword!” “What are you building?” These exclamations are the sounds of a room full of kids playing Minecraftedu. Welcome to Minecraft Club, where children get together on our library's laptops to play one of the world's hottest video games! Thursdays sessions are for the experienced Minecrafter. Come and join us for building, creating, and having fun. Roblox can be played during this session. Online Registration is Required for the entire month. For kids ages 8-12.
Interested in building a website or cool app? Want to work as a team and build a project you care about? Join our new Girls Who Code Club. This club is free for teens in grades 6-12. The astronomy & science club is for grade-school children who are interested in learning more about Science, Astronomy, and outer space. in the fall of 2014, kids will be exploring the Science of Superheroes! Can people use science to replicate superpowers? Can we see through solid objects, talk to each other with just our minds, become invisible? And how about flying like either Superman or Iron Man? We will take a hard look at our favorite superpowers, separate myth from what might be possible and create our own superheroes.
