The ultimate summer adventure meets spring break! Join us during school break for a special half-day drop-off program for children ages 7-14, full of outdoor adventure, environmental science, team-building, and crafts! Campers should come with a water bottle, outdoor clothes, a packed lunch and a spirit of adventure!

Something's Fishy at Maritime Gloucester

Kids will learn about fish at this Maritime Gloucester April Vacation drop-off program in Gloucester Massachusetts

What makes a fish a fish? Learn about all of the shapes and sizes of local fish and discover how form follows function. Create your own unique newly-discovered species and make a fish print to take home. Feel free to bring your own light-colored T-shirt to print on! For kids ages 6-10.

The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, April 18 – Friday, April 21. Explore the galleries with a scavenger hunt and family-friendly activities then head to the CAM Studio for an art project.

Stories in Stone Hike at Breakheart Reservation

Explore the history of Breakheart Reservation while learning about the stone artifacts found on site.

Breakheart Reservation has been shaped not only by nature but by the many people who have called it home. Join our park interpreter to uncover this history through the stone artifacts they left behind. This is a 2.5 mile moderate hike along rocky trails, with several stops. Best for adults and older children with a keen interest in history. Meet out-side the Visitor Center. Rain cancels.

CraneExplorer: Sensational Seaweed

Join this family education program to learn all about local seaweed at the Trustees of Reservations Crane Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts

Algae, seaweed, or even sea vegetables! Whatever you prefer to call it, join this family education program to learn all about local seaweed. Participants will get their hands wet exploring and identifying local seaweed species and learn how seaweeds grow, reproduce, and provide food and habitat to many creatures. Families will get the chance to taste some seaweed food and create your own seaweed art to take home.

Hikin’ Kids at Breakheart Reservation

Kids are invited to Breakheart Reservation for a short hike featuring a basic introduction to the forest.

This Breakheart Reservation program is for the younger set. This is a basic introduction to the forest and a short hike to acclimate children to the outdoors. Recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sunscreen, binoculars and camera. Appropriate for children 5 years and up. Meet at: Visitor Center, 177 Forest Street, Saugus. Tel. (781) 233-0834
