Cape Ann Museum Family Tours in Gloucester Massachusetts

See the Museum through the eyes of a child with this animated family tour of paintings, sculpture and maritime objects. Learn to think and see like an artist, a fisherman or quarry worker. Created for children ages 3–12 with their caregivers. This 30-minute tour ends in the Activity Center for art projects and play. Free for CAM members or with Museum admission. Space is limited, registration required.

Bring your little Knights and Ladies to the Hammond Castle Museum for an educational and hands-on introduction to the history of heraldry on Knights and Ladies Day!   This hour-long program on April 20, is geared towards 7–11 year-olds, and will be held in the Great Hall of the Museum, where their imagination can run wild, just as John Hays Hammond Jr., the inventor who built the Castle intended.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), hosts its fifth annual ASL day, a celebration of Deaf culture welcoming members of the Deaf community and friends. Coinciding with National Deaf History Month, the program includes American Sign Language tours, performances by DEAFinitely Dance, art-making kits and more. The day's activities are presented in partnership with Boston Deaf Night Out (DNO) and Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

This summer, stretch, jump, and move your body on the lawn of the Cape Ann Museum Green with instructors from MAGMA. After the workshop, grab some free art supplies from CAM’s Art Cart or try your hand at a self-portrait for Community Portrait Project. Make a day out of it by bringing your lunch and picnicking on the Green while you make art!

Make It or Break It Club

The Make It or Break It Club meets every Friday afternoon at the CMNH

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire hosts the Make or Break it Club every Friday from 3:00-4:45 pm. Kids ages 6-12 are invited to drop in to try their hand at a variety of hands-on "making" experiences, using real tools and materials. No reservations are required and different experiences are offered each week. The cost is $8 per session for museum members and $10 for non-members. Multi-session punch cards are also available for kids who want to come each week.
