Mother's Day is a celebration at Peabody Essex Museum ! Enjoy Mother's Day Brunch at the museum catered by Hawthorne Catering and served in the Garden Restaurant overlooking the Asian Garden. Boston Children's Museum Lunch & Learn Lecture Series will be held Tuesday, May 17th from 11:30 am-1:15 pm. Dr. Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot will speak on the importance of the parent-teacher relationship and its impact on the lives of children.

Do you need a free and fun place to bring the kids over April Vacation? Families are invited to explore “Revolution of the Eye” through hands-on activities inspired by television shows featured in the exhibition and by stepping in front of the camera for a chance to be on TV. Join the Ipswich Museum for a hands-on workshop on the 19th century China trade. Through museum collections, children will learn about the Augustine Heard & Co. (Heard lived in the house now part of the Ipswich Museum) and the production of porcelain in China during this time. Participants will also get to practice producing painted "china" together in a group activity.
Homeschool Workshops are open to all kids ages 6-12. We meet on the last Monday of each month from 10am-noon. The cost is $5/child to explore hands-on history at the Ipswich Museum!
