At 7:30 AM at Alliance Park, veterans will gather to toss a wreath into the Merrimack River in honor of all fallen Marines and Sailors. From there, wreaths will be placed at the Veteran’s plot in Union Cemetery, then to the Doughboy statue and Justin Memorial, and then the Polish Memorial on Market Street.
The main ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM inside Landry Stadium. The public is encouraged to attend to show respect for the military men and women who gave their lives serving our country, and the first responders who gave their lives serving their communities.
It is recommended that veterans who attend the ceremony wear an item of clothing that distinguishes them as a veteran (cap, shirt, jacket, pins, and medals).
In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at the Amesbury High School
