Newbury Town Day is a fun and informative event designed to bring together the three communities of Newbury (Old Town, Plum Island, and Byfield) to celebrate our wonderful town. This amazing day of activities will happen on June 18, 2022.
Come explore what nature has in store at some of our most amazing wild places on the North Shore. Joppa Flats' engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local beaches, forests, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. The Newbury Town Library is having a puppet extravaganza for April vacation! The Mudeye Puppet Company is an educational puppetry arts organization dedicated to providing esteem-building arts workshops, reducing waste, and encouraging creativity through use of reused materials. Come to the Library for a free show followed by a puppet making workshop!
The Newbury Town Library is having a hula hooping extravaganza! bring your little ones ages 6+ (families welcome!) to the library to see what amazing tricks the Boston Hoop Troop can do with their hoops and learn a little bit yourself. Guaranteed to get you moving and smiling, this event should be tons of fun!
Come to Spencer Peirce Little Farm for the Ipswich Harvest Fest! Come enjoy live music by the Orville Giddings Band, delicious BBQ, & Vintage Base Ball with 1860's rules! As if that's not enough to be excited about, this year we are pleased to announce that the festival will be complete with all new kids activities and a bouncy house! So brings the kids (and the dog!) down to the farm for a day and fall fun!

The Newbury Town Library invites kids to use everyday items like bananas to play a virtual piano or use a pencil and PlayDoh to make a controller for a computer game! Computer technology is everywhere and used by many professionals, including inventors, artists, teachers, engineers, musicians, scientists and computer programmers.
The Newbury Town Library invites kids to come and learn about electronics and basic circuits using the Arduino microcomputer and software. In this workshop for budding engineers or any young person wanting to learn about electronics, basic circuits will be explained and instructions given on how to build a simple robot.
