Cooking together and having fun in the kitchen makes our farm family happy and we want to share that enthusiasm for cooking with you. With the help of our cheesemaker we will make a batch of fresh farm cheese while we learn about how our cows turn green grass to creamy, nutritious milk. Afterwords we'll enjoy the sweet fruits of our labor together. This program is designed for families with children ages 5-10.

We will make homemade rolls and top them with freshly made Jersey butter. We will learn about how our cows turn green grass to creamy, nutritious milk, then enjoy the sweet fruits of our labor together.

Join The Trustees of Reservations to welcome the sugaring season!  On weekends in March the Trustees will host a special menu of breakfast items made with or accompanied by our own maple syrup from the maple trees right here at Appleton Farms. Our Culinary Programs Team, led by Jess Wagoner, will create a delicious assortment of items which will incorporate our delicious maple syrup. It doesn’t get any more local or any more delicious than this.

Bring home your very own Gingerbread House creation!  Creative chefs will love the endless decorating options—from frosted candy roofs and pretzel picket fences to tootsie roll campfires and marshmallow snowmen. Enjoy lunch, cheerful holiday tunes and tips from Baker Jim!
