Join MRWC and naturalists from Marine Mammal Rescue at the Seacoast Science Center to observe harbor seals at Salisbury Beach. The lack of boat traffic in the winter allows for greater seal activity close to shore. Our group will be viewing these seals from a safe distance of at least 150 feet away. After introductions, we will walk together a short distance to where the seals are hauled out.
This is a FREE in-person event that will be held entirely outdoors. We encourage you to bring your own binoculars!
Parking details: Enter Salisbury Beach State Reservation and continue south on State Reservation Road until you reach the southernmost parking lot, next to the jetty. You can park in this lot, and meet our group at the entrance nearest to the jetty (look for folks wearing Marine Mammal Rescue shirts!). There are restrooms available at this parking lot.
