THE 2013 SLED DOG RACES ARE CANCELED DUE TO LACK OF SNOW!
Join the New England Sled Dog Club for their 2013 Dog Sled Races at Appleton Farms! This outdoor event will be host to many dog sled teams that will race from Appleton Farms south into Hamilton and back. This is a great outdoor activity for the family to enjoy some fresh air as they witness a unique sport in a wonderful natural setting. There are many areas for spectating and these races so come early and to find the perfect spot for watching!
Boston’s North Shore is blessed with many acres of beautiful open space containing trails for public recreation. Appleton Farm (and its surrounding public/private land areas) is the ideal venue for the Races. Planning and executing the Races involves the joint efforts of landowners, community leaders, the The Trustees of Reservations, the Essex County Greenbelt Association and the Essex County Trail Association. Proceeds from this event go to these latter organizations so they can continue their work maintaining trails and their missions to preserve open space for public use and enjoyment.
