Parent and Child classes offer parents, grandparents, and caregivers the opportunity to learn about child development, Waldorf education and parenting the young child all within a home-like environment at our beautiful location on Moraine Farm.

Want to learn more? Join this free trial class on Sunday, November 17, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. In class, participate in indoor and outdoor free play, circle games, and bread making. Families with newborns through nursery-age children, are welcome to participate.

Parent & Child Rosebud Classes at Waldorf at Moraine Farm

A class for parents with newborns up to age 6 months. Topics covered in class include: developmental stages in babies, warmth and how to dress your baby, sleep, rhythm, foundational senses (sense of touch, well being/life, movement, balance), observation, babywearing, new identity as a parent, nursing, lullabies, and rhythmic games.

5-week program meets on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.

Parent & Child Bachelor's Buttons Classes

Bachelor’s Button is a full year pre-nursery program for caregiver and child 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 years of age.

We have two Bachelor’s Buttons classes that meet weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays, September through June, from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Classes follow the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm schedule.

Parent & Child Morning Glory Classes

Morning Glory is a playgroup for caregivers with an older child who is 20 months to 3½ years¹. Class activities and interactions support social development as these children prepare for nursery.

We have two Morning Glory classes that meet weekly for 10 classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:15 am. Classes follow the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm schedule.

Peach Blossom is for infants who are 3 – 12 months¹. Caregivers will be provided the opportunity to discover how to observe, understand, respect and enjoy the individuality of each baby. Classes include interactive touching and singing games, developmental observation and discussion time with other parents.

Waldorf at Moraine Farm invites you to join them on Tuesday, July 16, and 23, for a morning of PLAY and a Puppet Show. Meet some of our early childhood teachers and other families in the community. The open play hour is suggested for children up to Grade 1.

Toddler playgroup and workshop at Tower School in Marblehead MA

Tower Tots is a free parent and toddler workshop. The small-group, parent and toddler workshops are teacher-led, interactive and fun! Spanish teachers, Jaclyne Ainlay and Anna Walcutt invite attendees to join in a celebration of Spanish language and culture. Winter Family Field Trip: Terrific Animal Tracking

Mammals such as squirrels, rabbits and deer leave many signs that they are active in winter. Learn how to interpret the tracks and signs or clues of active animals in winter. Stay active and warm with a group challenge about hibernation. Conduct an experiment about snow insulation.
