Badalament is a Harvard-trained educator with 20 years of experience as a teacher, dean of students, and counselor in school and clinical settings for children, teens, and adults. At Shore, we know that students are at their academic best when they have a balanced schedule that includes plenty of time outdoors. Our new playground (opening September 2013) will incorporate both natural and structured spaces to engage children’s physical and creative natures with activities like digging, climbing, and imaginative play. North Shore Nursery School has enlisted a panel of experts - kindergarten teachers from local public and independent schools - to answer questions about preparing for kindergarten and to broaden your understanding of the kindergarten experience.
Usher in spring with Women in Action on Saturday, April 6th from 9:30-11:30a.m. by helping The Food Project start seedlings in the greenhouse at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly. Women in Action is dedicated to increasing access to nutritious food and physical activity for underserved children. Last year, volunteers helped start 4,864 seedlings for The Food Project's North Shore farms in just one morning. Open to individuals, families, and friends (kids age 5 and up). Thursday, March 28th, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cape Ann Waldorf School welcomes parents to visit Kindergarten to observe the Waldorf curriculum in action. Learn about the Waldorf approach to Kindergarten by observing the children in their daily rhythm and ask questions of the CAWS faculty.
There will be a Q & A with Cape Ann Waldorf School faculty. This is an adults only session.
