Boston Pops Puppets Take the Pops

The Boston Pops collaborates with University of Connecticut's Puppet Arts Program in a stunning evening of grand symphonic music illustrated by imaginative puppet creations of all kinds and sizes. These aren't your kids handpuppets: alumni puppeteers have performed in The Lion King, Sesame Street, Avenue Q, and others. Performances will include Peter and the Wolf, and newly-commissioned performances to the classics of Pops' favorite Leroy Anderson.

Join us for an imaginative evening spectacular for the senses, for all ages!

Big Apple Circus' new production "The Grand Tour," according to press notes, "transports audiences to the Roaring 1920s, the advent of the modern travel ear, when the most adventuresome began to tour the world in ships, planes, trains and automobiles. The troupe sets off on their own whirlwind adventure, accompanied by the live, seven-piece Big Apple Circus Band."

EMK Institue celebrates spring with Rose's Garden!
Author and illustrator, Peter H. Reynolds, will join us for a reading and signing of his book, Rose’s Garden on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the EMK Institute in Boston.
The signing will be followed by paper flower making, where participants can write how they want to "make a difference" on their flower petals which will be planted in Rose's Garden at the EMK Institute.

BYSO: Rossini's Cinderella

The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) and the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will collaborate to present a special family version of Rossini's Cinderella on April 10th! This performance is suitable for children six years of age and older. This production is newly conceived specifically for Symphony Hall and will be sung in English.

World Figure Skating Championships

The ISU World Figure Skating Championships will be held at the TD Garden, March 28-April 3, 2016. The World Figure Skating Championships will bring close to 200 skaters from over 30 countries to Boston’s TD Garden to compete for four international titles in four disciplines: Ladies' singles, men's singles, pairs and ice dancing. The Exhibition of Champions will also feature a performance by the world-famous Haydenettes synchronized skating team, based in Lexington.
