Theater in the Open Summer Workshops

Theater in the Open hosts their Summer Arts Workshop is a fun-filled, out-door, adventurous way to learn and grow at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. It is a place where young people have the opportunity to be creative and build lasting relationships with their peers in a safe, non-competitive environment designed for personal and artistic growth. Our professional staff of artists and educators is dedicated to providing our students with a positive, creative, artistic experience.

WaringWorks and WaringWorks Jr. at Waring School

WaringWorks at Waring is a long-established summer experience combining learning and fun. In the morning, children have the chance to work in depth in one of seven Majors: Theater, Visual Arts, Video, Science Exploration, Soccer, and WaringWorks Jr. We end the day with recreation and whole group activities. On the final day of the program, we have a presentation of what we have created together! Students age 7-14
(5-7 for Waring Works Jr.)

WaringWorks Jr. is a half-day program for children ages 5-7 who have completed at least 1 year of kindergarten.

Girls Rock Campaign Boston

Girls Rock Boston is a week long summer program for girls ages 8 to 17 working to empower and encourage positive self esteem through music education and performance. During each session, girls receive instrument instruction (guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, and perform at a sold out rock venue- in just one week. As well as band formations, band coaching, and band practice- we include workshops such as self- defense, songwriting, women in rock history and screen printing. Kingsley Pines Family Camp is designed to give all ages the opportunity to have as much fun as children have at Kingsley Pines Camp! There are a variety of options for families to be together and for adults and children to enjoy some time on their own. Boston Ballet School Summer Programs

oston Ballet School offers Ballet Stories and Ballet Journeys for our youngest students in an age-appropriate and fun environment!

The Boston Ballet School North Shore Studio at the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead offers Summer programs and classes for kids aged 3 and up. Classes are age appropriate and focus on the skills required to bring your child to the next level. Coed programs range from standard ballet class for 3-7 year olds to more intensive workshops for tweens and teens.

ACT Theater Company

Registration is open for the ACT Jr. and ACT Kids Summer Educational Programs. The summer show for ACT Jr. is the new musical, Addams Family, and the ACT Kids show is HONK! These great summer theater camp programs which feature classes in acting, dance, and music as well as technical theater with talented staff and professionals.

Shore Country Day School Summer Programs. Beverly MA

Summer Shore Camps run June 16 through August 22. Summer Shore Camps including Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camp and Boston Children’s Theatre. Shore Country Day School offers a variety of Summer Shore Camps focusing on both sports and enrichment. Full- and half-day camps are available and welcome students in grades 1-10.

Activities and Things to do for children in Gloucester MA

Eastern Point Day School offers two great options for children this summer.

Summer Adventures Bookmaking Program is offered to children entering 1^st – 6^th Grade. This popular North Shore program is offered in one week, all day session, to aspiring authors who write and publish their own stories and books culminating with “coffee house” readings to families and friends on Friday afternoon.

Waring School: ArtWorks & ArtWorks Jr.

Waring School Summer Art Program for Kids 5-14

ArtWorks at Waring is a long-established summer experience combining learning and fun. In the morning, children have the chance to work in depth in one of five "MAJORS": Video, Theater , Visual Arts, Circus, and Musical Theater. In the afternoon, there are elective workshops to choose from: basketball, hip-hop dance, jewelry-making, French, acting, chess, games, and other activities. We end the day with recreation and whole-group activities.

On August 1 there will be presentations of what we have created together.

Hours: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
ArtWorks Junior is for children ages 5-7 who have completed at least one year of kindergarten. This is a hands-on morning program including creative art, science and nature, music, puppetry, and story-telling. We'll take field trips & investigate the Waring campus.

Limited enrollment for either entire month or two consecutive weeks.
