Cruiseport Gloucester and The Open Door invite you to a celebration of community spirit! Each year, The Open Door Autumn Breakfast kicks off the holiday giving season and raises funds for Holiday Meal Baskets (and beyond). Each basket provides local people with all the ingredients they will need to make a special meal, and Holiday Baskets are available for BOTH Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. This year's event will start at 10am with Boats on Display. The captain's safety briefing will be at 10:30am and the regatta will start at ~11am. Awards will be presented following with our amazing partners at the Legion followed by the New England Patriots kick off at 1pm and incredible tunes on the deck at 2pm by Peter Hoare.

The Newburyport Chocolate Tour, now in its 20th year, invites chocolate lovers to savor fine chocolate and goodies throughout downtown Newburyport and the Tannery. The Chocolate Tour motto, "Eat Chocolate. Be Happy. Do Good.", sums up this delicious tour as 100% of net proceeds are donated to local non-profit organizations.
Plum Island Airport RC Club's JetOberfest is almost here! Come on out and join the fun at the Plum Island Airport for 4 days of Nonstop RC Jet action (Turbine and Ducted Fan Jets, no props or rotors for this event please). Pilots from all over the Northeast and Canada will make their way to our little slice of heaven to WOW the crowds with some amazing machines.
Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids compete each week for a chance to earn points. At the end of the Series the boys and girls who accumulate the most points in their respective distances are awarded trophies. All participants receive a medal on Week 5!
