MAC: Tennis Academy and Junior Tennis Program

There are a few openings left for the MAC Junior Tennis Programs.

  • JV/VARSITY PRACTICE (Ages 12 and Up) Monday 6-7:30, Wednesday 6-7:30. The JV/Varsity Practice, which runs for 1½ hours, is targeted for more advanced players that have excelled in their 10-12 Green Ball or Teen level classes. The JV/Varsity runs at a 4:1 ratio.   • Foam Ball Class for 5-6 Years Old: 3:30-4:30. Perfect for the K-1st graders. Court size: 36’ Court/Racquet size: 19- 21": The size of the courts and racquets are geared to let the 5-6 year-old players focus on developing tennis skills. The classes feature both drill-court and paired activities. Instructors create rally-building situations for students to facilitate their tactical and technical development and encourage their enthusiasm for the game.

Launch is for children ages 3-5, gets kids playing tennis on age appropriate sized courts so that every participant can experience success.

MAC Tennis Academy is for junior players with competitive tennis experience who is dedicated to the sport and driven by the desire to reach his or her peak potential. Commitment, determination, and an eagerness to learn the skills and strategies of the sport are the hallmark characteristics of the junior players enrolled in the MAC Tennis Academy. Designed personally by legendary coach Nick Bollettieri, the Academy offers an intensive and highly focused week of drills, stroke analysis, supervised match play, videotaping, fitness and mental conditioning. Another special aspect of this program is the supervised travel to USTA Sanctioned Tournaments. The MAC Tennis Academy program is currently training many of the best players in New England. This is one of the most complete training programs in the country!

MAC Junior Tennis Programs run from September 10, 2012 - May 23, 2013. This program is for players with the potential or strong desire to play highly competitive matches. The class reinforces the individual player’s solid technical base with a daily emphasis on grips, strokes and tactical and technical skills. This program has produced many top junior players in New England. The Junior Academy runs at a 4:1 ratio. The Junior Development Program offers a fun, energetic and extremely positive introduction to tennis that will set your kids on track to be fit for life.

Launch! A new tennis program for children ages 3-5 that incorporates 2 themes per session to allow the youngest players to develop physical skills while enjoying some variety in presentation and activity throughout the year. Launch! challenges your child’s physical skills while introducing basic tennis shapes in a fun and varied themed on-court environment.
