A free youth fitness class run by Beverly High School volunteers. Children are welcome to attend any number of the classes. Growing Strong is a new, free, youth program that aims to provide a welcoming, social environment for children to begin a healthy lifestyle. Fitness is so important, especially for young children. It not only benefits a child’s overall physical health but also improves self esteem, concentration and decreases stress.
Children will be divided into age groups and move from station to station learning and exploring new sports, games and exercises.
The Volunteers:
- Jenna Schweizer is a rising Junior at Beverly High School. She currently plays soccer, track and lacrosse. When she’s not doing school work or playing sports she loves to bake new recipes and spend time outside.
- Andrew Schweizer just graduated from Beverly High School. During his time at BHS he played soccer, football and ultimate frisbee. He likes to work out and spend time with his friends.
- Julia Lippie is a Junior at Beverly High School. She plays field hockey and loves to go on walks. Her favorite things to do are travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Parents must remain on site for the duration of the class.
