Waterfront Concert: Blue Note Big Band

The Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Concert Series invites you to enjoy Big Band music by the sea with Blue Note Big Band! For many, the highlight of Newburyport's historic weeklong Yankee Homecoming festival is the Saturday night waterfront concert followed by a spectacular fireworks display. It will be our highlight this year, for sure, as we entertain the "Yankee Homecomers" from 7:15 right up until the fireworks at 9:15.

This is a great family event, entirely organized by volunteers, in a wonderful seaport city. Vocalist Denise Therrien will wow you with all-time favorites from the Great American Songbook and modern hits too. And you can look forward to our traditional big band arrangements from the libraries of Basie, Ellington, Kenton, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Glenn Miller and many more.
