Join us on Thursday, May 22, at 7:30 p.m. as Dr. Nadine Gaab, from Boston Children's Hospital Gaab Lab (Harvard/MGH), will discuss recent advances in the development of literacy, and its failure in developmental dyslexia, with emphasis on the brain.
Dr. Gaab will present results from longitudinal studies which aim to investigate whether observed functional and structural brain differences associated with a diagnosis of DD are already present in infants and preschoolers, how they develop over time, and whether these functional and structural differences could be exploited to predict later reading outcome.
She will further discuss reading fluency in children and adults with and without DD as well as children with Comorbid DD and ADHD and its implications for customized remediation strategies.
